My colleague and Facebook friend Jeff Weinstock had a perceptive blog observation the other day about Barack Obama’s early decision to cede control of his web sites to the masses.
Bill O’Reilly’s “outing” of a Jesse Jackson whispering rant on Fox News about cutting off Obama’s “nuts” may confirm Weinstock’s early prediction of a left liberal and net roots revolt.
The MSM, always slow to react to net roots gristle, has begun to take notice. This morning’s Washington Post’s Dan Balz in an analysis suggests Barack’s ideological fuzziness is raising eyebrows. This is very polite talk for the harsh statements Weinstock is reporting.
Will the net roots revolt intensify? Maybe. This morning President Bush signs into law the new anti-terrorist legislation that Barack vowed to oppose and yesterday supported with his vote in the Senate.
Live by the web sword or die by the web sword. As the Senator’s dodging and weaving continues, is he running into potential trouble with the activist net roots supporters? Maybe, but I bet he’s thinking they’ll probably “come home” by election day.
